Temporary Full-Time Safety & Training Administration Clerk
About the role
Reporting to the Supervisor, Operations Safety & Training or designate, the Safety & Training Administration Clerk provides basic administrative support for safety and training programs within the division. The position assists with maintaining records, organizing information, and supporting general office functions related to safety and employee training.
Responsibilities:

Provide general administrative support for safety and training activities, including organizing documents and maintaining records

Update and maintain training and safety information in spreadsheets, databases, and electronic filing systems

Prepare and distribute safety and training materials, forms, and related documentation

Assist with meeting coordination by scheduling meetings, preparing agendas or materials, and organizing meeting documentation

Respond to routine inquiries by phone or email and redirect requests to appropriate staff when necessary

Monitor and record employee training completion information in tracking systems

Perform general clerical duties including photocopying, scanning, filing, and maintaining office records

Assist with the preparation of communications and correspondence

Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

Demonstrated knowledge and skills of associated with the completion of a one (1) year post-secondary certificate in Business Administration, Office Administration or related program, plus six (6) months of experience in office administration, or equivalent combination of education and experience

Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills are required

Ability to work independently in a multi-task environment with frequent interruptions

Meet the eligibility requirements of the Canada Summer Jobs program:

- Be between fifteen (15) and thirty (30) years of age at the beginning of the employment period
- Be a Canada citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act for the duration of the employment
