Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Platform Engineer with extensive experience in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to architect, implement, and manage scalable cloud infrastructure and platform services. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader with over 10 years of experience in cloud engineering, DevOps, and infrastructure automation. You will play a key role in driving platform reliability, scalability, and security across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of secure, scalable, and resilient cloud infrastructure on GCP.
• Architect and manage platform services including compute, storage, networking, IAM, and monitoring.
• Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or Deployment Manager.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines and automation for infrastructure provisioning and application deployment.
• Collaborate with engineering, security, and operations teams to ensure platform reliability and compliance.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize cloud resources for cost and efficiency.
• Drive adoption of DevOps and SRE best practices across teams.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to platform engineering standards and documentation.
• Stay current with GCP innovations and recommend improvements to architecture and tooling.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in cloud platform engineering, DevOps, or infrastructure roles.
• Deep expertise in GCP services including Compute Engine, Cloud Functions, Cloud Run, GKE, IAM, VPC, and Cloud Monitoring.
• Strong proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Deployment Manager).
• Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Cloud Build).
• Solid understanding of networking, security, and cloud architecture principles.
• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• GCP Professional Cloud Architect or DevOps Engineer certification.
• Experience with multi-cloud or hybrid cloud environments.
• Knowledge of SRE practices and tools (e.g., SLIs, SLOs, error budgets).
• Experience with logging and observability tools (e.g., Stackdriver, Prometheus, Grafana).
• Background in compliance frameworks (e.g., SOC 2, HIPAA, ISO 27001).

The pay range that the employer in good faith reasonably expects to pay for this position is $37.37/hour - $58.39/hour. Our benefits include medical, dental, vision and retirement benefits. Applications will be accepted on an ongoing basis.
