Who we are…
Management Board and Budget Secretariat is a branch within the Department of Finance and provides strategic analysis and advice to Management Board, a committee of Cabinet responsible for coordinating the efficient and effective utilization and deployment of all financial and human resources of the government. The Secretariat supports informed decision-making at the highest levels of government by leading in the development of the territory's fiscal plan, analysis of departmental budgets and reviewing new policies, programs, and guidelines.
Working with Government of Yukon departments, corporations and agencies, the Secretariat manages the government's financial planning process, developing and producing the government's annual revenue, operating and capital budgets, and multi-year financial forecasts reviewing and making recommendations on funding requests, both operational and capital.
The opportunity…
As the Senior Capital Planning Analyst, you are working within a small, specialized team located within the Management Board and Budget Secretariat branch. You are responsible for leading the tasks of curating, analyzing, and communicating capital financial data to drive informed decision-making for the Yukon government's capital program. Your analysis and recommendations will help shape strategic capital investments in infrastructure, ensuring effective resource allocation.
