Functional Information Systems Analyst - Information Systems - Regular Full-time

This position is at the L07 level with an hourly pay range of $38.37 - $48.55

Reporting to the Manager Information Systems and under the supervision of the IS Lead, the Functional Information Systems Analyst is the front-line contact for the MEDITECH registration (REG) process and MEDITECH community wide scheduling (CWS) process, providing support, system maintenance and subject matter expertise to internal clients. The position recommends, implements, and manages information systems and business solutions to improve the delivery of system wide registration processes and practices for YHC and its partners. This position is responsible for monitoring quality assurance and providing corrections and amendments for all REG and CWS activity for YHC and its partners.

Knowledge, skills and abilities required:

• Thorough knowledge of current MEDITECH REG and CWS applications and processes;
• Knowledge of business processes, technologies and applications, and project management methods and techniques;
• Strong knowledge of other HCIS applications relevant to YHC including but not limited to: coding and abstracting, PACS, transcription systems, etc;
• Good knowledge of multi-discipline, multi-site, and cross-departmental systems/applications and processes;
• Proficiency with Microsoft Products;
• Excellent oral and written communication skills including report writing, presentation skills;
• Strong communication skills, relational, and a strong influencing skill set;
• Ability to provide REG and CWS support in a complex and highly integrated MEDITECH environment;
• Ability to work effectively and interact with all levels of the organization including physicians, senior management, middle management, expert users, and frontline staff, as well as external vendors;
• Ability to document, plan, organize, coordinate and lead teams;
• Ability to build and maintain positive working relationships with staff, vendors, and external stakeholders;
• Ability to effectively work independently and in teams to meet deadlines;
• Ability to facilitate expert and End-user training;
• Ability to understand and analyze complex information and problem solve; and
• Cross-cultural awareness and sensitivity.

The successful applicant is required to have a High School Diploma, completion of Medical Office Administration or Patient Registration Specialist Certificate with (3) years Registration and Community Wide Scheduling module, experience preferably in a MEDITECH environment. An equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience may be considered.
