About this opportunity:

Cenovus is looking for a Product Supply Coordinator- Ohio located at our Dublin, OH office. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Refining and Crude Supply, this highly influential role requires leading without authority and flexibility with ambiguity. The Product Supply team will be accountable for Product optimization of 300KBD+ finished and unfinished streams (gasoline/diesel/jet, intermediates), totaling $5+ Billion USD/yr. The Senior Analyst will look after secondary products (non-NGL) and some intermediate stocks in the Ohio Refining Network (Lima and Toledo Refineries), an interface owner and driver with marketing, trading, and scheduling.

What you'll do:

  • Provide direction to market-facing traders and marketers regarding all buying and selling of intermediate feedstocks and secondary products (non-NGL) on behalf of the refineries. Use refinery and network values to optimize incremental finished production for the Ohio Refining Network (Toledo and Lima Refineries).
  • Manage and coordinate the purchasing, scheduling, and delivery of robust optimal feedstock / intermediates to meet the refinery run plans.
  • Recommend product flexibility and pricing for LP process (Pricing Coordinator has Decide on Demand, Traders have Decide on pricing).
  • Drive risk management of intermediate and product inventory/movements with trading and marketing teams.
  • Drive performance with the Product Quality team to provide technical assurance and monitoring of product quality giveaway. Work with Refinery teams to optimize and minimize product quality giveaway, continuously looking for longer term structural improvements.
  • Provide backfill coverage for other members of Supply team (Crude, Product, NGL).

Who you are:

  • Must be authorized to work in the US.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics
  • 8+ years of experience in Oil & Gas, strongly preferring experience in Refinery Process Engineering and Production Planning / Economics and Scheduling.

Preferred

  • Experience in Refinery Process Engineering and Production Planning / Economics and Scheduling
  • Strong ability to analyze complex information & details, and present findings in a clear concise format.
  • Advanced technical understanding of product quality, refinery constraints, production planning / product supply chain
  • Experience with liquid commodities
  • Collaborator, able to respectfully and effectively influence others with potentially conflicting priorities.
  • Communicator who develops credibility with diverse organizations from operations to executive management, clearly communicating plans, values, and risks
  • Intermediate to Advanced LP Model Interpretation (model running not required)
  • Intermediate to Advanced MS Excel skills with familiarity of Visual Basic (VBA), SQL, R/Python, Power BI, and other MS Office suite
  • Price fundamentals, risk based decision making, and risk management knowledge
  • Intermediate understanding of trading fundamentals, market structure
  • Base knowledge of U.S. and Canadian Product markets for Toledo, Lima, Superior, developing to expert level
  • Sound understanding of logistical interfaces between pipe, rail and marine transportation interconnects
  • Ability to respond effectively to the needs of diverse situations while maximizing Cenovus Group value.
