The bigger picture

We're looking for a detail-oriented and motivated individual to come on board as our temporary UX UI Designer for up to a 6-month term. In this role you'll work closely with a collaborative cross-functional team, helping us deliver on our purpose to champion every member's success for a thriving Saskatchewan.

As our UX UI Designer, your work will directly impact how our digital products and services are designed and experienced. Whether supporting our internal teams or creating seamless interactions for our members, this role is key to ensuring we remain competitive, innovative, and accessible. Together, we'll create user-friendly, efficient solutions that reflect our commitment to exceptional service.

How you'll be spending your time

  • Collaborating with designers, product owners, developers, users, and other internal and external stakeholders to develop results aligned to the desired outcomes.
  • Facilitating and engaging in UX/UI activities, including user setup, user research/user interviews, and workshops. Subsequently, translating these findings into journey maps, useful statistics, and actionable data.
  • Delivering UX research, information architecture, UX flow design, rapid prototyping and ideation.
  • Communicating concepts, ideas, and strategies using rapid visual design techniques.
  • Creating wireframes, mockups, and prototypes that effectively communicate design ideas and interaction concepts.
  • Creating surveys to assist with user testing and collection of data correlation.
  • Developing and maintaining design systems, UI kits, and pattern libraries to ensure consistency across all platforms, including color palettes, typography, iconography, and user interface elements.

The experience you bring

  • 3-5 years of professional experience designing responsive web applications (Agile environment experience is an asset)
  • Understanding of Human-centered design practices, including design thinking methodologies, research, and user testing protocols, as well as Agile frameworks.
  • General experience in the financial services, insurance, or retail industries would be an asset.
  • Experience in the use of Figma or equivalent for digital design and prototyping.
  • Understanding of design principles related to web services, Android, iOS, etc., user centered design, mobile and responsive design, design systems, and accessibility standards and practices in alignment with the WCAG standards.
  • Understanding of analytic tools such as, Google Analytics, Pendo, Crashlytics.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Design Thinking, Lean Startup.)

Salary Range:

$75,630 - $94,540 with 10% Short Term Incentive Target
