The bigger picture

We're looking for a technical, innovative individual to come on board as our temporary Intermediate Software Developer, for up to a 12-month term, at our College Avenue location in Regina. In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain software solutions that drive business efficiency and innovation. Your technical expertise will help the organization stay competitive, improve operational processes, and deliver high-quality products and services to stakeholders.

How you'll be spending your time

  • Delivering an applications and services portfolio that supports and aligns with organizational business strategy.
  • Liaising with agile team members to understand and analyze organizational need and deliver full stack applications.
  • Designing and creating data models that represent the structure, relationships, and constraints of data within a database.
  • Analyzing and optimizing data models to improve performance and scalability.
  • Automating business processes and making them consumable in a user-friendly way to the organization and key stakeholders.
  • Developing and managing APIs and front ends as part of a full stack implementation.
  • Managing web server configurations and runtime dependencies.
  • Building and managing DevOps pipelines, build agents and database deployments.

      The experience you bring

      • Post-secondary education in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Business Information Systems, or other related discipline
      • 3+ years of experience delivering solutions based on diverse data sets, including building and integrating web services
      • Experience with VueJS or similar modern javascript frameworks and with modern frontend build tools like Webpack or Vite
      • Familiarity with state management libraries such as Vuex or Pinia
      • Proficiency with javascript, css, html, Less and Sass, familiarity with CSS frameworks like Bulma or libraries like Buefy for UI components
      • Experience with legacy .net frameworks, webforms, winforms, SQRS, etc. considered an asset
      • General experience in the financial services, insurance, or retail industries would be an asset

      Salary Range:

      $79,540 - $99,420 with 10% Short Term Incentive Target
