The position is a hybrid role based in our Mississauga, Ontario office with the opportunity to work 2 days remotely per week.

Job Description: We are seeking a dynamic Senior Manager to lead our Business Development team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of cybersecurity software, backup solutions, virtualization, cloud services, and AI technologies. This role requires strategic thinking, strong leadership skills, and a proven track record of driving business growth through effective team management and KPI-driven performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and mentor a high-performing Business Development team focused on driving sales and revenue growth.
  • Set clear objectives and key performance indicators (KPIs) for the team to achieve organizational goals.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to define and execute go-to-market strategies for advanced solutions.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, Vendors and Partners.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and competitive landscape to identify opportunities for innovation and growth.
  • Provide strategic insights and recommendations based on market analysis and customer feedback.
  • Monitor and report on team performance, sales metrics, and pipeline development.
  • Up to 15% travel, primarily within the GTA, with occasional trips across Canada and the US.

What you bring to the role:

  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in business administration, marketing, sales, engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of experience in a management or a leadership role with direct reports.
  • Ideal experience and strong understanding of cybersecurity software, backup solutions, virtualization, cloud services, and AI technologies.
  • Experience in both the software aspect and the operational dynamics of the business.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and lead a team to meet their performance objectives.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for building relationships with clients and internal teams.
  • Ability to train and mentor the team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities with the capacity to navigate challenges and resolve conflicts within the team as needed.
  • Knowledgeable on market trends and the competitive landscape within the industry.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Strong decision-making abilities with the confidence to act decisively in fast-paced environments.
