About the role

We are looking for a Scrum Master to lead one or more Agile teams as part of the Contact Billing program.

In charge of a production support team and a development environment support team, the Scrum Master will act as maintenance coordinator and assist the Release Coordinator in synching the various associated activities.

What you'll do:

  • Create a culture of collaboration and support within the squad.

  • Encourage and enable squad members to seek out new opportunities to improve squad interaction and problem solving.

  • Act as a responsible servant of the squad and facilitate planning, squad learning in the form of reviews and retrospectives, and process adaptation to ensure quality squads/solutions.

  • Facilitate scrum ceremonies (grooming, sprint planning, retrospectives, daily stand-ups, etc.).

  • Responsible for removing obstacles preventing a squad from completing the work negotiated for a given sprint.

  • Monitor and report on daily activities, including squad velocity and sprint/delivery progress.

  • Mediate in general conflicts of objectives between squad members (high technical quality) and the product manager (more functionality).

  • Be a subject matter expert in Agile methodologies and practices.

  • Plan and execute all aspects of projects within scope, time, budget and quality, in accordance with the Agile framework established for the team or department.

What you bring to the table:

  • Bachelor's degree in administration, computer science, management or equivalent.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Scrum Master.

  • Very good knowledge of Agile.

  • Good knowledge of Jira.

  • Bilingualism (French / English) - Need to interact on a regular basis with colleagues across the country.

  • Agile certification, an asset.

  • Knowledge of Guidewire Billing Center, an asset.

  • Knowledge of Contact Billing application and/or billing domain, an asset.

  • Knowledge of Jenkins, CI/CD Pipelines, an asset.

  • Knowledge of Confluence, an asset.

  • Knowledge of GitHub, an asset.

  • Knowledge of Miro, an asset.

  • Bilingualism (French and English) - Need to interact on a regular basis with colleagues across the country.

  • No Canadian work experience required however must be eligible to work in Canada.
