We're seeking an AEP/rtCDP Architect to join our team and help drive TELUS' personalization journey across both marketing and customer service outcomes. As a senior member of the team, you will play a key part in developing and driving personalized digital messaging for customers. Using your passions for data, technology, and customer experience, you will enable TELUS to transform customer communications from batch to streaming. You will work across the organization to drive the evolution of our martech stack and unleash data to create personalized experiences for customers. What you'll do

  • Ensure maximum customer reach and accuracy by architecting and managing customer data strategies, including data ingestion, profile management, and data governance across all AEP components.
  • Collaborate with both technology and business partners and domain architects in order to grow and optimize the real time customer data platform (rtCDP) with data and events that power real time personalized experiences
  • Create and maintain data integrations with upstream and downstream systems for personalized experiences delivery and reporting
  • Create and maintain documentation about the Digital Messaging martech stack to enable others to successfully investigate and troubleshoot questions and concerns
  • Proactively identify opportunities for process improvements, automation, and platform enhancements.
  • Evaluate various solution options to business challenges and recommend the best approach balancing constraints and future needs
  • Support the reliability and telemetry of data pipelines feeding into our personalized experiences
  • Provide expertise and guidance in review sessions and intake assessments to estimate effort for new ideas

What you bring

  • A passion for personalizing and improving customer experiences and the technologies that make it possible (data science, machine learning, CDPs)
  • 3+ years of experience in the newest personalization technologies such as Adobe Experience Platform, Customer Journey Analytics, Adobe Journey Optimizer, real time Customer Data Platforms such as Tealium or Salesforce
  • Strong experience in integrating AEP with Adobe Analytics, Adobe Target, Adobe Campaign, and third-party systems.
  • Advanced SQL knowledge to write complex queries to investigate and proactively discover opportunities for improvement, and root causes of challenges
  • Working knowledge of Python, HTML and Javascript
  • Understanding of React Native (xCode)
  • Bachelor of Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent
  • Systems design experience with the ability to architect and explain complex systems interactions, data flows, common interfaces and APIs and how they contribute to the business goals
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.

Great-to-haves

  • Strong experience and knowledge for data engineering principles, best practices and the associated technologies
  • Understanding of APIs, security architecture, and cloud native development on major cloud providers (eg GCP, Azure, AWS, Databricks, Snowflake)

Advanced knowledge of English is required, because you will, most of the time, interact in English with external parties (clients, suppliers, candidates, external partners, etc.), interact in English with internal parties (colleagues, internal partners, stakeholders, etc.), as part of this position's main responsibilities, given its national scope.
