 What is the Opportunity
Are you passionate about protecting an organization's assets and ensuring a secure environment? Your technical expertise and focus on user experience will help you excel in this role. We are seeking a Technician, Information Security to maintain our organization’s security posture by directly engaging with users, implementing security protocols, and coordinating with various teams to address and resolve vulnerabilities. Under the supervision of the Team Leader, Information Security, you will play a key role in our efforts to ensure compliance with security standards across the organization. This role offers an opportunity to make a significant impact in a collaborative environment, contributing to the overall safety and security of our organization.
 
What you will do 
  • Proactively communicate with users to address and resolve identified vulnerabilities;
  • Implement and test remediation measures on endpoints;
  • Implement security protocols during the onboarding of new employees;
  • Ensure new hires are trained on security policies and procedures;
  • Monitor and update physical access permissions as needed;
  • Provide guidance and support to users on best practices for mitigating risks;
  • Work closely with infrastructure and IT support teams to identify and resolve security issues;
  • Coordinate efforts to mitigate vulnerabilities and ensure compliance with security standards. 
 
What you will need to succeed
Experience and Knowledge 
  • A college diploma in Computer Science or a related field;
  • Five (5) years of relevant experience in providing IT technical support;
  • Solid understanding of information security practices and principles;
  • Strong passion for information security, cybersecurity, and ethical hacking;
  • Professional certification in IT, such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft AZ-900;
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Active Directory, Intune and mobile device management;
  • Experience with security tools and technologies, including SIEM, antivirus software, and vulnerability scanners;
  • Advanced proficiency with Windows 10 and Windows 11 operating systems. 
 
Skills and Abilities 
  • Proven problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze and resolve complex technical issues;
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, enabling interaction with users and documentation of incidents, with professional proficiency in both French and English;
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and collaborate with various departments;
  • Adaptability to stay current with evolving security threats and technology trends; with a creative mindset and motivation to work independently or in a group, demonstrating dedication, teamwork, and professionalism.
