About the role

Join the Technology Solutions Team, where we are developing the next generation of software applications to enable CMHC to achieve its strategy. Your skills and passion for application development, programming, user-centric design and software reliability will support the development and maintenance of CMHC’s business platforms and other applications to propel CMHC forward efficiently and securely. 


What you’ll do:

  • Design, configure and manage Azure Dev test environments and other testing environments.
  • Continuously enhance and optimize test automation processes and tools.
  • Design, implement and maintain scripts and automated testing solution for Azure-based applications and services.
  • Collaborate with developers to promote testing best practices and drive test automation adoption.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements, refine acceptance criteria and ensure test coverage.
  • Design logically sound, readily maintained program structures based on program specifications.
  • Complete application development projects of higher complexity, including the programs to be coded, for implementation into production.


What you should have:

  • A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Management, or a related field. An equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience testing, programming, developing, and implementing business applications. This experience would be in roles and projects with increasing complexity in application development.
  • An experience in designing and implementing test automation for Azure based applications.
  • An expertise with business ecosystems, cloud-based systems (SaaS, IaaS, PaaS), SOA, APIs, open data, microservices, event-driven IT, with a focus on Microsoft technologies.
  • A familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, information management practices, system development life cycle management, IT services management, agile and lean methodologies, infrastructure and operations.
  • Strong interpersonal and business competencies, including teamwork, communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.

Technologies:

  • Test automation using tools like Azure DevOps, Azure test Plans, Gatling, Tosca or Selenium.
  • .NET development (C#) ASP.Net MVC, .Net Core, ASP.Net, Web API, .NET Full Stack Development.
  • Source code management and DevOps with Azure DevOps and Git.
  • An experience with containerization technologies.
  • An experience working with cloud platforms (Azure (preferred), AWS, GCP) Azure Logic Apps, Azure Functions, Azure Service Bus and API Management.

It would be great if you also had:

  • A graduate degree or certificate in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Management, or a related field.
  • Technical certifications in application architecture, cloud development and administration (ex. Azure Administrator, Azure developer).
