About the role

Our growing team is looking for a Senior Security Architect - Specialized in GenAI.

As a Senior Security Architect specialized Gen AI, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing solutions for securing applications and systems where generative AI is in use.

You will work closely with the Manager of Security Architecture and Engineering, as well as other stakeholders, to ensure that Intact Financial's generative AI initiatives are aligned with the company's security policies, standards, and industry best practices. You will also monitor and evaluate the security posture of generative AI systems, identify threats, and provide recommendations for improvement and risk remediation.

What you'll do here:

  • Design and develop security architectures and frameworks for generative AI applications and systems, such as natural language generation, computer vision, and audio synthesis.
  • Conduct security assessments and audits of planned generative AI systems and identify and mitigate security risks and vulnerabilities.
  • Design patterns for common security controls and tools for generative AI systems, such as encryption, authentication, authorization, logging, monitoring, and anomaly detection.
  • Research and evaluate emerging security threats and trends in the generative AI domain and propose and implement appropriate countermeasures.
  • Collaborate with other security architects, engineers, developers, and analysts to ensure the security of generative AI systems throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Provide security guidance and training to generative AI teams and stakeholders and promote security awareness and best practices.
  • Participate in the design, engineering and deployment of generative AI related projects to ensure patterns are adhered to and scope is maintained.
  • Evaluate requirements and controls from Cyber Governance and Operational Risk teams ensuring that security outcomes are met with integrated controls within IT and GenAI environments, teams and projects.


What you bring to the table:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in computer science or software engineering.
  • At least 5 years of experience in security architecture and engineering, preferably in the generative AI domain, or equivalent experience in generative AI development or architecture and willing to become a dedicated security architect for generative AI.
  • Strong knowledge and skills in generative AI technologies and guardrails, i.e., multi-foundry GenAI LLMs on multi-cloud platforms, such as Copilot, Gemini, GPT-3.5/4o, AWS Bedrock, Amazon SageMaker, OpenAI Codex, TensorFlow, PyTorch, etc.
  • Strong knowledge and skills in security principles, frameworks, standards, and best practices, such as OWASP, NIST, SABSA, ISO, etc.
  • Strong knowledge and skills in security tools and techniques, such as cryptography, authentication/authorization, penetration testing, threat modeling and risk assessment, etc.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment within an agile squad.
  • Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, SANS, CCSP, Cloud platform (AWS/Azure/GCP) certifications, GenAI certifications, or OSCP are an asset.
  • For candidates located in Quebec, bilingualism is required considering the necessity to interact on a regular basis with English-speaking colleagues across the country.
  • No Canadian work experience required however must be eligible to work in Canada.
