About the role

We are seeking a Senior Scrum Master to join our expanding team!

What you'll do here:

  • Act as Scrum Master for multiple projects.

  • Guide the team and organization on how to use the best Agile practices and shape the process to serve the team.

  • Form and chaperon teams to the next level of performance and maturity.

  • Ensure seamless collaboration and communication among team members.

  • Remove impediments or guide the team to remove impediments by connecting them with the right people in the right places.

  • Build a trusting and safe environment where problems can be raised without fear of blame, retribution, or being judged, with an emphasis on healing and problem-solving.

  • Assist with internal and external communication, improving transparency, and radiating information.

  • Support and educate the Product Owner, especially on grooming and maintaining the product backlog.

  • Collaborate with other Scrum Masters and be part of the communities of practice for Scrum Masters.

  • Work closely and manage follow ups with various collaborators: Developers, Data Scientists, Data governance, Security, Product Owners, Architecture, etc.

What you bring to the table:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, or any combination of equivalent education and experience.

  • Minimum 4 to 5 years of relevant experience leading initiatives within IT.

  • Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies and frameworks.

  • Mastery of JIRA, Confluence.

  • Experience with Scrum and Kanban as a team member or other capacity.

  • Ability and experience leading small to mid sized squads.

  • Excellent communication, leadership, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to inspire and motivate teams.

  • A Scrum Master certification (PSM OR CSM) would be preferred.

  • Experience and knowledge in the insurance field would be preferred.

  • Experience and knowledge of AWS, Data Engineering, AI Engineering is a plus.

  • Bilingualism (French and English) - Need to interact on a regular basis with colleagues across the country.

  • No Canadian work experience required however must be eligible to work in Canada.
