JOB SUMMARY: The Senior Project Manager plays a critical role in overseeing complex projects from inception to completion. They will be responsible for coordinating efforts across cross-functional teams, external vendors, and various stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of projects within established timelines, budgets, and quality standards. They focus on driving efficiency, mitigating risks, and achieving project goals.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Project Oversight and Leadership

  • Lead, mentor, and inspire project teams, ensuring their commitment to project goals and adherence to established methodologies.
  • Provide strategic leadership and oversight for the entire project life cycle, ensuring seamless alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Employ advanced project management methodologies and tools to meticulously plan, execute, and deliver projects within defined timelines and budget constraints.
  • Foster a culture of excellence in project execution, emphasizing quality and efficiency.
  • Address internal or vendor issues that may impede project delivery and develop effective solutions.
  • Monitor project scopes, costs, schedules, and staffing to ensure adherence to established parameters.

Stakeholder Engagement and Communication:

  • Act as a key liaison between project teams, external vendors, and stakeholders, cultivating strong relationships and facilitating effective communication channels
  • Communicate project schedules, changes, and updates to all relevant stakeholders.
  • Develop and implement communication strategies to address potential challenges and ensure project success.

Quality Management:

  • Set and manage quality targets for projects, ensuring that deliverables meet established standards.
  • Implement measures to identify and rectify deviations from quality standards.
  • Define and implement advanced quality assurance strategies, ensuring the highest standards across all project deliverables.
  • Oversee the development and execution of organizational quality standards and continuous improvement initiatives.

Milestone Management:

  • Develop and implement advanced task management strategies, optimizing resource allocation and improving overall project efficiency.
  • Oversee and address complex issues and bottlenecks in project task progress at a strategic level.
  • Collaborate with project managers to implement effective task tracking systems

Resource Optimization and Management:

  • Lead comprehensive budget management initiatives, overseeing the financial aspects of multiple projects within the organizational portfolio.
  • Provide strategic guidance on resource allocation and budget optimization at an organizational level, including the allocation of hours to optimize efficiency and meet project objectives.
  • Adapt resource allocations dynamically to accommodate changes in project scope or requirements, ensuring a flexible and responsive approach.
  • Implement resource management best practices to enhance overall project performance.

Risk Management

  • Drive enterprise-level risk management initiatives, identifying and mitigating risks at a strategic level.
  • Provide expert guidance in managing complex risks and issues, ensuring the overall success of the project portfolio.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement, regularly assessing project management processes and identifying opportunities for enhancement.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to implement best practices, streamline workflows, and enhance overall project management effectiveness.

Compliance

  • Ensures compliance with federal, state, local, industry, contractual, and company regulations, standards, specifications, and best practices.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Project management certification (e.g., PMP).
  • 5 to 10 years of proven experience in project management.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects with multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills. Bilingual English and French preferred.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and software.
