TELUS is looking for an experienced L4 Software Developer to join the Enterprise Mobile Commerce and Customer Care Team of DBS (Digital Business Solutions) that deliver Direct-to-Customer experience that empowers and enables corporate customers through best-in-class tools, platforms and processes to support Day 1 (ordering) and Day 2 (manage) activities via the Self-Serve portal. You will be joining an agile and collaborative team responsible for strategic roadmap, design, development and operational support of the whole portfolio.

As a Senior Software Developer Advocate, you will play a key role in developing and delivering scalable and reusable J2EE software solutions on Google Cloud Platform. Your responsibilities will encompass all phases of the software development lifecycle, including planning, technical design, construction, documentation, testing, and deployment. Your primary focus will be on developing software components, business applications, and conducting assembly testing.

What you'll do

• Ensure development tasks delivers as promised on all projects
• Ensure best practices are adhered to for all application development
• Build applications that are scalable with reusable components in the required technology
• Perform coding and package configuration including break fix
• Lead in the design of components, configurations and interfaces required to deliver solutions
• Serve as a super developer and subject matter expert in different application area / portfolio

What you bring

• Minimum of 10 years' experience in full stack web application development (ReactJS, Javascript, JAVA, Springboot, NodeJS, Python, etc.) or services development
• Minimum of 10 years' experience in designing and consuming RESTful and GraphQL APIs.
• Minimum of 5 years's hands-on design/development experience with Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE)
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in Google Cloud Platform and related technologies
• Knowledge of cloud services, serverless architecture, and infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform).
• Minimum of 5 years' experience developing in SQL (stored procedures)
• Minimum of 5 years' experience with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, Google Cloud SQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB)
• Minimum of 5 years' experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, or GitHub Actions.
• Proficiency in GitHub
• Understanding of containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes)
• Experience interfacing and communicating directly with internal and external clients

Required Professional Designation/Certification:

• A university degree in Business, Computer Science or Engineering or the equivalent experience demonstrated by progressive responsibilities​​​​​​​​​​​​​​
