You Are:

A rising Experience Design star. You have incredible design thinking chops, can recognize good UX from bad and drive improved solutions. • Are well versed in Accessibility and how it affects designs both UI and UX specific

  • Participate in strategy and brainstorm sessions with clients, to help articulate and define their goals

  • Contribute wireframes, user flows, interaction prototypes, user personas, customer journeys, site maps, and other design specification materials

  • Conduct heuristic and functional reviews of other digital experiences

  • Apply design thinking to create world-class digital experiences across multiple platforms and channels, by bringing together user needs, business goals and technical realities

  • Translate concepts into designs that illustrate simplicity despite system complexity

  • Create instant tangibility for the team and the client through storytelling and rapid prototyping methods, ranging from paper sketching to digital prototyping

  • Work directly with customers, peers and creative leads to design end-to-end experiences using participatory and iterative design techniques including observational studies, customer interviews, usability testing, and other forms of qualitative and quantitative research to uncover insights, learn about user behavior and verify design concepts

  • Effectively communicate research findings, conceptual ideas, detailed design, and design rationale both verbally and visually

  • Work closely with development teams to ensure that design specifications are implemented

  • Collaborate effectively with remote and onsite team members, including but not limited to designers, researchers, project/product managers, QA, developers, and technical architects

  • Participate in and contribute to project debriefs, project templates and design POV's

  • Mentor other novice design practitioners

  • Collaborate and consult with clients and stakeholders on design decisions

  • Have a Human Centered Design approach in solving user needs with deep customer empathy

  • Have great storytelling abilities to rationalize how each option solves our client's problems.

  • Are comfortable conceptualizing products at a high level and progressively add detail for development teams.

Qualifications

Here's what you need:

  • 3+ years' experience in digital design

  • Substantial Figma experience

  • Experience working independently directly with stakeholders and in group environments

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience

  • Bilingual in French and English is highly preferred for this position

  • English is required for this position as this role will regularly interact with English-speaking stakeholders across Canada. • Eligibility to obtain Security Reliability clearance in a reasonable timeframe

Bonus points if:

  • You're comfortable in Sketch, Axure, the Creative Suite, and other relative tools to design for digital interfaces

  • You have experience with client-facing projects, ideally in consulting, agency or other business-related services
