We are looking for a manager, eCommerce platform engineering who will report to the director of direct to consumer (eCommerce) and will be responsible for a team of developers and quality assurance specialists.

YOU'LL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:

  • Be responsible for eCommerce technical project delivery and managing development teams (in house and partners), including but not limited to:
    - Coaching and leading team members of various expertise and experience.
    - Managing and protecting team scope and commitments.
    - Sharing technical expertise with team members and stakeholders, promoting and enforcing best coding practices.
  • Engage with business leaders to understand the strategic vision and commercial objectives driving the development of new features.
  • Develop and expand customer-facing digital eCommerce-Omnichannel platform feature sets.
  • Develop and maintain integration end-points with other systems related to eCommerce (payment gateway, fulfillment, ERP, SAP finance, master data, etc.).
  • Collaborate with project managers, product owners, and the IT, BA and UX team on enterprise-scale programs and initiatives.
  • Enhance and develop test automation practice to ensure code quality.
  • Establish and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate the build, test, and deployment processes.
  • Implement and integrate security practices into the DevOps pipeline (DevSecOps) to ensure secure code and infrastructure.
  • Set goals and targets with deadlines, and hold individuals and teams accountable for results.

YOU'LL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND QUALITIES:

  • A proven track record leading engineering-development teams (25% leadership and coaching, 50% management 25% technical subject matter expertise).
  • Proficiency in vulgarizing technical topics and applying technical knowledge to operational or commercial contexts in discussions with business stakeholders.
  • At least 8 to 10 years of experience with eCommerce Platforms is required.
  • Extensive experience with headless commerce and decoupled architectures (MACH).
  • Experience with Magento and Magento Cloud CLI is necessary. SFCC, Shopify or other major commerce platform experience would be considered an asset.
  • Familiarity with the Adobe Experience Cloud and eCommerce stack.
  • Strong PHP and/or Java experience.
  • Excellent knowledge of front-end languages, such as HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
  • Experience with JavaScript frameworks, such as Angular JS, React, Knockout JS or Vue.
  • Experience creating, consuming and designing APIs (Rest, GraphQL).
  • Familiarity with database technology, such as MySQL, MariaDB and MongoDB, and good SQL development skills.
  • Strong understanding of secure coding practices and experience with security tools.
  • Strong understanding of version control systems, and experience with branching strategies and code reviews.
  • Proven experience in implementing and managing automated testing frameworks and test-driven development (TDD).
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
