About the role
We're looking for a Manager, Data Intelligence and Finance in the National Real Estate and Corporate Services team!
The Manager will be central to the development of and evolution of our data and analytical models to drive strategies for our footprint and financial optimization. In addition, the Manager will support the financial and accounting responsibilities for the portfolio.
This role offers diverse responsibilities and an opportunity for great exposure across many business units and strategies within Intact, all while working with an amazing team of real estate professionals.
What you'll do here:
Data Analytics:
Lead a team of data analysts to develop and maintain analytical models, dashboards, and reports.
Take ownership of an established project pipeline requiring strategic execution and delivery.
Analyze leasehold data to provide actionable insights that drive strategic decision making.
Collaborate with cross-functional National Real Estate teams, including Facilities, Leasing, Corporate Services, and senior leadership to identify data needs and deliver impactful solutions.
Drive continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to improve processes through data analytics activities.
Finance & Analysis:
Partner with the national real estate team and various business units to quantify and understand all initiatives, headwinds and tailwinds.
Monitor budget objectives and reforecasting analysis, detecting, reporting and actioning on material trends and variances.
Accounting:
Oversee and drive the monthly, quarterly and year-end accounting processes for our national portfolio including timely, complete and accurate reporting of leases, leasehold improvements, furniture & equipment and IT related expenses.
Maintain lease and project financials, continuity schedules, and audit working papers.
Oversee and provide reporting to support financial statement notes disclosures, quarterly and year-end audit support, and any ad-hoc requests.
Maintain an environment of operational policies and adherence to key controls.
What you bring to the table:
CPA - is required
Expert experience Microsoft Excel, Power BI and PowerPoint - is required
Post secondary education in Data Science, or Business Analytics
Minimum 3 years experience leading and managing a team of direct reports
Minimum 5 years experience working in a business intelligence role
Strategic thinker with strong business acumen
Strong financial and data driven acumen
Exceptional project management skills, with the ability to juggle competing priorities & connect the dots
Strong representation of living our values
