About the role

The GRC Integrator provides risk management subject matter expertise and guidance related to a Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) program and is responsible for managing tactical activities for the successful implementation of CMHC’s first GRC platform. It is an Advisor role within the Direction Operational risks and GRC implementation. This role requires significant collaboration with other CMHC’s sectors such as Internal Audit and Information Technology (IT).

What you’ll do:

  • Assist the Director in building a compelling vision for the GRC implementation and ensure appropriate resources and tools are available to meet the vision/end state.
  • Provide guidance to develop a sound framework for the implementation of the GRC platform and underlying program activities (guidelines, procedures, training material, etc.) to ensure it is successfully deployed across the Corporation in accordance with the three lines of defense model.
  • Assist the Director to develop a comprehensive strategy for the implementation and optimization of the GRC platform, aligning it with CMHC’s strategic objectives and responsible of daily activities to design and implementation of the GRC platform to meet CMHC’s risk management and internal audit needs and other areas within the corporation.
  • Prepare relevant material and lead workshops with various stakeholders to facilitate the design and implementation of tools, methodologies and processes to be integrated into the GRC platform.
  • Coordinate and provide subject matter expertise (SME) in developing material that will provide guidance to business lines (methodology, process, etc.) and risk oversight teams.
  • In collaboration with Chief Risk Office Senior Management team, build relationships across CMHC to enable a better understanding GRC practices, tools and processes, and their implementation into the GRC platform.
  • Collaborate frequently with all lines of business to provide risk subject matter expertise and advice with respect to the GRC platform and underlying practices, tools and processes.

What you should have:

  • An undergraduate degree in a related field such as business, finance and / or computer science.
  • A minimum of ten (10) years of experience in risk management with increasing responsibility.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to think strategically.
  • Demonstrated expertise in providing technical and business relationships across the 3 lines of defense.
  • Detailed understanding of an Enterprise Risk Management Framework.
  • Experience in implementing a GRC platform at an enterprise level.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with the ability to influence a wide stakeholder group.
  • Strong oral and written communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to synthesize information from a variety of sources and explain GRC content across the various lines of business in plain, simple language.

  • Bilingualism (French and English).
