The Application Services and Continuous Delivery Department provides the development squads with the platforms, services and tools required to deliver and host software components to meet the needs of our members and clients. It is responsible for establishing a governance structure for automation and delivery cycles to standardize practices and meet security and compliance requirements. As part of its digital strategy, Desjardins has begun a development transformation initiative and it’s up to our department to provide squads with CI/CD continuous delivery platforms that use products based on GitHub, GitHub Actions, Artifactory, SonarQube and Concourse. Our team aims to develop pipeline components that are easily reusable by Desjardins developers, including technical documentation to encourage adoption of the cloud-based application platform and its services, and the use of continuous delivery tools. The team also provides reusable Concourse tasks, Docker images and Concourse resources, which are components used in thousands of pipelines to facilitate CI/CD steps, as well as GitHub Actions and reusable workflows. We’re seeking someone new to strengthen our team and help us meet the growing demand for our services. We’re looking for someone creative and eager to join our ambitious team. The successful candidate will work alternately on maintenance items and development projects. More specifically, you will be required to :

  • Create, test and maintain custom GitHub Actions to automate various development and deployment tasks

  • Publish and document actions and workflows in an internal catalogue

  • Develop reusable workflows using GitHub Actions to standardize and simplify CI/CD processes

  • Automate tests, deployments and security and compliance checks and requirements to ensure high-quality deliveries

  • Ensure modularity and reusability of workflows for various squads and projects

  • Work closely with development and operations squads to understand their needs and integrate DevOps best practices

  • Facilitate communication between teams to ensure smooth adoption of workflows and actions

What you bring to the table

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field

  • A minimum of four years of relevant experience

  • Please note that other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered

  • Experience operationalizing solutions in a production environment

  • Experience with the agile approach

  • Knowledge of French is required   

  • Knowledge of GitHub Actions

  • Knowledge of platform architecture and continuous delivery products: GitHub, Artifactory, SonarQube and Concourse (or a similar product)

  • Knowledge of DevOps concepts (CI/CD)

  • In-depth knowledge of Java application development, including the use of tools such as Maven and Gradle

  • Knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript, Java and .NET

  • Knowledge of Docker

  • Knowledge of Azure and/or AWS cloud-based platform

  • Knowledge of BASH shell scripting

  • Knowledge of Python

  • Knowledge of Tanzu Application Service (Cloud Foundry)

  • Knowledge of Linux and Ubuntu
