Private Cloud Products (PCP), part of the SAP development organization, is looking for a developer who wants to start a career in software engineering.

You will be joining a global team of over 3,100 colleagues across more than 10 locations, all working as experts to ensure SAP software runs smoothly for our customers.

PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES

The PCP organization provides maintenance, development support and continuous improvement for all standard releases in general availability.

Our primary objective is to ensure an efficient and performant operation of SAP software.

We take full responsibility of the code, and we provide standard solutions to our customers’ inquiries.

We are looking for an engaged and dynamic developer with great communication skills to take ownership, provide maintenance and continuous innovation of our core products.

You will contribute to the maintenance and development tasks of products included in the SAP S/4HANA Cloud Private Edition.

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS

As part of a highly motivated and experienced team, your focus will be to make SAP Customers successful by working with them to solve and overcome incidents in their SAP solution. You will develop strategies to improve and maintain the overall quality of your topic.

Among other things, this includes:

• Ability to perform a detailed analysis of customer requests and incidents and produce solutions for complex problems and situations.
• Using your technical skills and functional knowledge to participate in coding, testing, documentation, and maintenance of new features while ensuring high quality and security in your area of responsibility.
• Continually enhance your skills and seek new areas for personal development.

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS/ SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

Required:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science or equivalent education
• Strong analytical, problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming
• Customer focus
• Excellent communication skills
• Proficient in spoken and written English

Recommended:

• Experience with ABAP, Java, Java Script
• Basic understanding of SAP products and technologies, such as SAP ERP, SAP HANA, Fiori
• General interest or knowledge about ERP Finance, accounting basics.

The targeted combined range for this position is 60400 - 102700(CAD) CAD. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process. Any SAP variable incentive includes a targeted dollar amount, and any actual payout amount is dependent on company and personal performance. Due to the nature of the role, which involves global interactions with SAP entities, as well as with employees and stakeholders in Canada, functional proficiency in English is required for positions based in the Quebec.
