We're looking for a creative self-starter to lead and execute post-acquisition integration communications. In this role, you will report to the Manager, Communications, and collaborate with a number of amazing stakeholders - People & Culture teams, business leaders, corporate communications teams, and other stakeholders to plan, prepare, and deliver clear, engaging communications that seamlessly integrate new employees from all around the world into our organization.

What you'll do

  • Collaborate with amazing business leaders across TELUS, including Corporate Communications, People & Culture, Corporate Development, Mergers & Acquisitions, and Post-Acquisition Integration, to draft a variety of communications that supports the onboarding and engagement of global team members from newly acquired companies
  • Deliver a range of culture, executive and engagement communications to inform team members and make them feel that they are part of something great: HR programs and policies, corporate news and content, business integration updates, launch of TELUS programs (e.g. TELUS Days of Giving), etc., leveraging templates while also developing new content as required
  • Develop communications that support integrations, such as providing talking points, presentations and executive briefs for leaders
  • Help build, refine and manage our integrated communications playbook, including the calendar of activities and communications we need to execute from Day 1 of an integration
  • Manage multiple projects and stakeholder relationships simultaneously, staying highly organized and proactive in tracking deliverables and deadlines
  • Monitor and measure the effectiveness of integration communications, adapting strategies based on feedback and outcomes

Qualifications

What you bring

  • 4+ years experience in corporate communications, internal communications, or a related field, preferably with M&A or post-acquisition integration experience
  • Exceptional organizational skills with strong writing, editing, and storytelling abilities for diverse audiences
  • Familiarity with AI technologies and their applications, with enthusiasm for exploring and leveraging AI-driven tools to streamline communication strategies and enhance integration processes
  • Proven ability to build collaborative relationships with cross-functional teams and foster employee engagement while creating a sense of belonging
  • You're a proactive self-starter with a strong sense of accountability
  • You're a versatile professional who excels at working independently while also being a strong team player
  • You thrive in a fast-paced (and sometimes complex) environment, where managing varying volumes, prioritizing new and ongoing requests, and meeting tight deadlines is second nature
  • You're a strategic thinker who's adaptable, resourceful, and willing to take on diverse responsibilities
  • You're detail-oriented with a 'no task too small' attitude
