The successful candidate will be able to design technical architecture solutions that span multiple platforms and include integration and authentication across systems; articulate design considerations, trade-offs, benefits, and recommendations for technical architecture and manage the development lifecycle to ensure the delivery of highly secure solutions that are optimized for performance and built to scale.

WORK YOU'LL DO

  • Collaborate with the Functional team to design the Salesforce solution, including making key decisions around declarative vs programmatic vs AppExchange.
  • Be the Escalation Point for technical issues.
  • You would be the Subject Matter Expert in Solution components that are within and outside of the Salesforce platform including:
  • Expert platform knowledge: Possess in-depth knowledge and understanding of the Salesforce platform, including its declarative capabilities, data model, security model, and integration options. Stay up to date with the latest Salesforce releases, features, and functionalities, and provide guidance on leveraging new capabilities. Provide guidance on application and integration development best practices, Enterprise Architecture standards, and functional/technical solution architecture.
  • Security: Communicate with Product Owners, cross functional development teams, network infrastructure, information security, data privacy & compliance and salesforce solution architects to ensure a cohesive technical strategy is designed and executed upon
  • Integration (including a technology/not just) and data Migration: Design and implement integrations between Salesforce and external systems, utilizing Salesforce APIs, middleware tools, and custom development. Identify integration patterns, recommend integration technologies, and ensure data integrity and security.

End to End Technical Solutions:

  • Design scalable solutions using a mixture of configuration and low code to support business functions and product goals.
  • Create and maintain Salesforce-centric architecture diagrams, including system landscape, ERD, integration sequence flows, login flows, etc. of current state and future state. Ensure that all technical documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and easily understandable by technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Support and maintain current Salesforce instance(s), including the data model, coding best practices, user permissions, integrations with third party and internal applications, security settings. Understand web services (SOAP, REST, JSON, XML) and other technologies that can be used to transport data in an enterprise environment and interact with Salesforce.com.
  • Effectively drive user experience and design strategies across enterprise for platform adoption.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement, system optimization, and automation to enhance the overall efficiency, performance, and user experience of Salesforce solutions.
  • Play Technical Architect role on delivery projects.
  • Manage junior resources, including having regular 1-on-1s, perform annual reviews, etc
  • Sales Support: Help scope, solution, and estimate sales opportunities alongside a delivery lead. Assist in SOW creation, etc.
  • Practice Development: Mentor resources, take on leadership roles to expand overall practice capabilities, etc.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, or equivalent
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience developing Salesforce customizations (Apex/VF), integrations, and developing and executing data migrations.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience creating the technical architecture for complex Salesforce implementations.
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in technology implementation for full lifecycle enterprise software projects.
  • Bilingual (English and French)
  • English is required for this position as this role will regularly interact with stakeholders across Canada, US and other countries across our Global footprint where English is the common language. Due to the significant high volume of interactions with these English-speaking stakeholders, which is inherent to this position, it is not possible to reorganize the company's activities to avoid this requirement.

Preferred Skills

  • Eligibility for Secret Security Clearance
  • Strong background in Salesforce solutions - SaaS strategy, systems design, implementation, and management. Experience leading large scale Global Transformation programs.
  • 3-5 yrs. Consulting experience with medium to large consulting firms focusing on cloud computing related consulting (storage, SaaS, multi-tenant computing, large scale computing environments, etc.). Familiarity with multiple implementation standards and methodologies.
  • Rich Experience in Salesforce Security, Encryption & Integration using REST, SOAP, Platform Event Driven Architecture. Demonstrated knowledge of XML, SQL, HTTP/HTTPS, and EAI processes. APEX, LWC, Visual Force, Omni script, AURA, LWR. Familiarity with Azure DevOps, SFDX, ANT and Eclipse tools for working with the IDE.
  • Salesforce Certified Application Architect, System Architect, Omni Studio, FS Cloud, Experience Cloud and other certifications.

Professional Qualifications:

  • Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment.
  • Desire to work in an information systems environment.
  • Excellent communication (written and oral), leadership and management skills. Very strong work ethic with a customer service focus (high intensity).
