Associate Director, Cloud Enablement Lead

RBC Capital Markets is a leading global investment banking company dedicated to providing services in banking, finance, and capital markets to corporations, institutional investors, asset managers, and governments globally. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Cloud Enablement Lead to drive the adoption, optimization, and governance of cloud technologies across our organization. As the Cloud Enablement Lead, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our cloud strategy, enabling teams to leverage cloud platforms effectively, and ensuring seamless integration of cloud services into our business operations. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and manage cloud solutions that align with our business goals and technical requirements.

This role requires a strong technical background, leadership skills, and a deep understanding of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) as well as DevOps practices. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with a passion for innovation and a proven track record of enabling organizations to scale and thrive in the cloud.

What will you do?

• Develop and execute a comprehensive cloud enablement strategy to drive adoption and optimization of cloud services.
• Act as a trusted advisor to internal teams, providing guidance on cloud best practices, architecture, and cost management.
• Identify opportunities to modernize legacy systems and migrate workloads to the cloud.
• Lead the design and implementation of scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud solutions.
• Collaborate with DevOps, engineering, and infrastructure teams to establish cloud governance frameworks and standards.
• Develop and deliver training programs, workshops, and documentation to upskill teams on cloud platforms and DevOps practices.
• Communicate cloud strategy, progress, and outcomes to senior leadership and stakeholders.
• In this role, you will communicate and interact frequently with RBC partners and/or employees located across Canada and/or worldwide.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field with 7+ years of experience in cloud computing, with at least 3 years in a leadership or enablement role.
• Proven expertise in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Strong understanding of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with cloud security, compliance, and cost management best practices.

Nice-to-have:

• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Certifications in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect) are a plus.
