As Senior IT Monitoring and Event Management Process Advisor, you're responsible for overseeing monitoring and event management processes in accordance with best market practices. You help keep IT services stable and efficient. You'll take on a leadership role among various stakeholders who have been asked to work on complex, innovative projects and strategic initiatives, such as technology evolution, process governance, incident prevention, quality assurance and performance monitoring. Your initiatives require extensive, in-depth knowledge of your line of work, including IT monitoring and event management. You make recommendations on the development and execution of projects and initiatives with a high degree of operational and conceptual complexity. You use your analytical skills and comprehensive, detailed knowledge of the organization and your understanding of monitoring and both traditional and emerging technologies. Coordination is critical. You interact with many stakeholders working in a wide range of fields. Interpersonal savvy is therefore essential. You serve as a specialist advisor and subject matter expert, as well as a resource person and coach for decision-making bodies. Lead large-scale development projects, initiatives and activities in your field that have a significant impact on the entire organization
Update policies, standards, models, IT solutions, processes, and programs to support your unit's strategic projects and initiatives, in accordance with best market practices
Govern the monitoring and event management practice within the organization and ensure that stakeholders have a clear understanding of it
Align practices with the rest of the industry
Align configuration of monitoring tools with practice
Ensure process performance management by identifying appropriate metrics, reporting, analyzing results and issuing recommendations
Help develop business cases to identify projects that have added value for the organization
Define practice requirements for calls for tenders or selection of IT solutions
Coordinate investment planning activities
Prioritize needs in accordance with strategic directions
Conduct cost-benefit analyses
Ensure compliance requirements are met
Ensure sound management of the licences
Represent Desjardins when making agreements with external partners and organizations

Bachelor's degree in a related field
A minimum of eight years of relevant experience in IT service management (incidents, problems, changes, monitoring, configuration, capacity performance)
Please note that other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered
Experience in process improvement and/or business analysis
Experience in operational performance management (indicators, analysis)
Experience drafting and presenting executive documents
Experience in budget planning
Knowledge of French is required
Proficiency with ITIL
Knowledge of IT monitoring and related technology solutions
