As a senior advisor, IT architecture, you actively monitor opportunities offered by new technologies and business approaches for the organization as a whole. You design solutions to meet the business needs of projects based on architecture targets and supporting foundations. You ensure consistency with the organization's current and future needs and structure, while also ensuring that new components are compatible with the existing architecture (software applications, products, services, etc.). You influence the organization's business partners and specialists on solution or enterprise architecture development initiatives that are strategic, complex and innovative. Your initiatives require extensive, in-depth expertise across several technology and/or business fields and knowledge of data, applications and infrastructure. You make recommendations regarding solution or enterprise architecture. You produce specialized deliverables as part of projects or initiatives that have a high degree of operational and conceptual complexity, using your analytical skills and extensive, in-depth knowledge of your line of business and the organization. Coordination is critical, so you frequently interact with stakeholders working in a wide range of other fields. Interpersonal savvy is therefore essential. You serve as a specialist advisor in your field, and act as a contact and coach for decision-making bodies. More specifically, you will be required to:

  • Advise and assist specialists and business partners to help them position, plan, develop, execute and monitor innovative technology solutions for the projects, initiatives and strategic mandates under your responsibility

  • Support your unit's strategic projects and initiatives by developing and updating policies, standards, architecture targets and supporting foundations, or technology solutions, taking into account aspects pertaining to data, applications and infrastructure
