We are recruiting an experienced, bilingual Senior Financial Analyst to join our Finance team. This position will be based at our head office in Brossard, Montreal. This is an on-site position.

Job Overview:

The Senior Financial Analyst will play a critical role within the Finance team, focusing on financial analysis and reporting while supporting business initiatives and building relationships with operational teams and partner dentists. This role is responsible for providing financial insights, supporting financial strategies, and contributing to the overall performance of the business units.

Main responsibilities:

Strategic financial support:

  • Support the implementation of financial strategies aligned with business objectives for assigned regions/clinics.
  • Collaborate with finance and operations teams to assist with financial planning, forecasting and budgeting processes.
  • Provide timely financial information and recommendations to assist in business decision making.

Financial analysis and reporting:

  • Lead the analysis and reporting of financial performance of respective regions/clinics.
  • Prepare detailed financial reports for the operations team and FP&A team.
  • Analyze financial performance to identify key trends, risks and opportunities.

Business partnership:

  • Act as a key contact for operations and partners, respond to inquiries and provide financial support.
  • Provide financial advice to regional managers, directors and partners.
  • Work with operations to understand their needs and develop financial solutions.
  • Help lead initiatives to improve profitability and operational efficiency.
  • Support quarterly meetings to review financial results and discuss KPIs.
  • Help analyze financial data and support the implementation of improvement strategies.
  • Collaborate in the development and implementation of operational dashboards and KPIs.

General accounting:

  • Assist with general accounting functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, revenue and bank reconciliations.
  • Assistance in the preparation and analysis of financial statements.
  • Help address and resolve accounting discrepancies and compliance issues.
  • Support inventory management and regular counting processes.

Financial planning and forecasting:

  • Support annual budgeting, forecasting and long-term planning processes.
  • Help monitor financial performance against plans and suggest corrective actions.

Cost management and efficiency:

  • Identify and support opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement.
  • Help monitor and report on operational and capital expenditures.

Team collaboration:

  • Contribute to a collaborative team environment and support team development.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement and professional development within the finance function.

Education, degrees, qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or related field (MBA or CPA preferred)
  • 7+ years of related experience, with increasing levels of responsibility

Required skills and abilities:

  • Experience in multi-site locations
  • Strong analytical, quantitative and problem-solving skills with the ability to organize information, analyze large data sets and present clearly
  • Proven experience in a senior finance role with a strong focus on strategic finance and client-focused anticipatory business partnering
  • Strong financial reporting and analysis skills
  • Excellent knowledge of financial and accounting principles, regulations and practices
  • Excellent communication skills in French and English, both written and oral (bilingual)
  • Exceptional communicator and excellent at working with cross-functional teams to achieve alignment in ambiguous situations
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to think strategically and contribute to the organization's overall objectives
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Adaptability and ability to thrive in a dynamic and rapidly changing environment
  • Strong ability to prioritize and manage a high volume of requests/queries
  • Strong MS Excel skills
  • Knowledge of MS Dynamics 365 Business Central and Power BI (asset)
