LOCATION: KMI Media & Design, Summerside, Prince Edward Island.

HOURS: Full time, permanent. 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm

WAGES: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour + benefits. Negotiable based on experience.

Initially focused on supporting Centennial Auto Group with online presence and safety measures, KMI quickly grew to serve over 500 clients across various industries. We offer a comprehensive suite of services, including website development, graphic design, IT support, vehicle wraps, commercial signage, and consulting, to help businesses establish and expand their brand in today's competitive market.

We seek a skilled and passionate Website Specialist to join our growing team. In this role, you will maintain and enhance our clients' websites, ensuring they are visually appealing, functional, and secure. You will primarily work with WordPress and Divi Builder, but your expertise in other platforms like Shopify, Wix, and Bandzoogle will be highly valued. This is a new position with significant potential for growth and development within our company.


APPLICABLE SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Proven experience in website development and maintenance.
  • Strong proficiency in WordPress and the Divi builder.
  • Familiarity with other website platforms like Shopify, Wix, and Bandzoogle.
  • Understanding of website security best practices.
  • Knowledge of domain management and DNS configuration.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A passion for web development and a commitment to excellence.
  • Knowledge of CSS, HTML, and JavaScript is an asset but not necessary
  • Interest in digital marketing and advertising is a plus


MAIN JOB TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Website Maintenance: Perform regular updates, backups, and security checks on client websites.
  • Website Development: Build new websites using WordPress and the Divi builder, ensuring responsiveness and user-friendliness.
  • Platform Support: Support websites built on various platforms, including Shopify, Wix, and others.
  • Client Communication: Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and provide timely updates on their website projects.
  • Client Support: Respond to website updates and change requests, providing excellent customer service.
  • Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve website issues, including performance problems, broken links, and security vulnerabilities.
  • Domain Management: Manage client domain names, including registration, renewals, and DNS configuration.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the Director of Operations and the Administrative Assistant to ensure accurate billing for additional work outside client contracts.
  • Stay Updated: Stay informed about the latest trends and advancements in web development.
