As a member of the Quality Assurance team, the Quality Specialist is responsible for assisting with compliance management and effectiveness of the Quality Management System (QMS). The Quality Specialist reports to the Director of Quality Assurance. They have the responsibility and authority for:

Position Accountabilities

  • Helping ensure the overall effectiveness of the Quality Management System (QMS).
  • Working to maintain StandardAero's Approved Maintenance Organization (AMO) approval with Transport Canada Civil Aviation (TCCA) as well as approximately 15 foreign aviation authorities.
  • Ensuring approvals such as AS9110C and ISO9001:2015 are successfully maintained.
  • Learning and maintaining a thorough understanding of all applicable Civil Aviation Regulations. (CARs)
  • Assisting with the development and approval of QMS documentation.
  • Supporting customers with quality related concerns.
  • Performing internal incident investigations and analysis.
  • Maintaining StandardAero's Approved Supplier Listing (ASL) and Quality Surveys.
  • Eventually auditing and supporting all other TPAF sites QMS programs.
  • Modeling behaviors consistent with good quality, health and safety, and environmental management practices.

An individual in this capacity must be aware that the position will involve:

  • Must be willing to comply with all company policies as established in the employee handbook.
  • Willing to take part in ongoing training and career development.
