The Common Components unit provides shared software engineering services to global Product Management and development teams in the OpenText™ Products group. This includes User Experience Design support (guidelines and individual product designs), Product Information artifacts (product documentation and help), Localization support, Accessibility governance (VPAT, WCAG), Performance Engineering and Product Security, Build and release management tools and services.

Your Impact:

As a Sr. Software Developer on the Global Build Hub Team, you will be responsible for managing and supporting major software source and build systems, designing, and developing new customizations and integration solutions, and supporting Developers in using these solutions and systems to optimize software releases and implement changes that will secure the software supply chain.

You will be executing critical functions supporting software builds and releases for different product teams, managing central source/build tools and infrastructures, code signing central processes.

Fulfilling all DevOps/Build Engineer duties and central management of major source/build management system for all of Engineering

What the role offers:

As a Senior Software Developer, you will:

  • Be responsible for full stack development.
  • Provide leadership from database design to UX design.
  • Manage source and build central systems (Gitlab, Jfrog Artifactory, SVN and others).
  • Support the central system to optimal use.
  • Automate system configurations using configuration as code/ Infrastructure/concepts.
  • Design and develop customizations and system integrations for these systems.
  • Create training material and technical documentation.
  • Review software supply chain process and contribute to the improvements.
  • Install new systems and new releases into test and production environments.
  • Perform all assigned jobs with minimal assistance.

What you need to Succeed:

  • A post-secondary degree software engineering, computer science
  • 5+ years of experience in Build Management and DevOps
  • Excellent knowledge in the following areas.
    • Gitlab, SVN
    • Jfrog Artifactory
    • Terraform and Terragrunt
    • Python, Go, PowerShell
  • Good knowledge of SQL
  • Good knowledge of Windows and Linux.
  • Ansible, K8S and Anthos
