The role is to be a member of the ITOM enterprise architecture team which has following charter:

ITOM Enterprise Architecture team drives towards an ITOM wide convergence and transformation to a single solution experience for our customers by leading the analysis and designs of cross functional topics.

The team is focused on creating value stream solutions like CLIP or ITOM Reporting that are easy to use for customers and are delivered using converged and shared services running on a common platform.

Some of the key experiences that the team of ITOM Enterprise Architect is proficient in:

· Transformational topics and new ways of working with focus on cross functional use cases and E2E solution experience

· Value stream use cases like CLIP, FinOps, Compliance, Continuous deployment

· Investigate and kickstart new ideas and innovations in products

· Cross functional design authority

· Alignment to industry standards and Best Practises, eg ITIL IT4IT

The role is contributing to the EA charter as well as the key areas by being an expert on some of the key area as well as being at least aware of the others.

Your Impact:

An Architect role at OpenText is more than just a job; you will be responsible for working with multiple engineering teams, defining and governing their technical roadmap, architectural foundation, and adoption of contemporary cloud practices. Using your skills in technology and architecture, you will help assess current state, advise on solutions to business needs or operational problems, and act as an advocate for functional areas of OpenText. You will collaborate across teams yet be collocated and support our team in Canada specifically. You will engage in solving meaningful challenges within a motivated team, gaining exposure to advanced technologies beyond individual access. You will be encouraged to cultivate an engineering mindset, driving the creation of innovative software solutions that address real-world problems and shape the future.

What the role offers:

As an Enterprise Architect, you will:

• Collaborate with system architects, product managers, and other stakeholders to create UI solutions that align with technical and business goals.

• Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of the UI with backend services.

• Act as a bridge between product management, system architecture, and implementation teams to deliver cohesive solutions.

• Possess hands-on experience with cloud-native app methodologies, and multi-tenant applications.

• Convert functional as well as technical problems into action plans with defined roles, responsibilities, and outcomes.

• Possess experience and keen interest in UX and UI solution development, leading overarching UX initiatives.

• Oversee backlog grooming and collaborate with product owners to prioritize features and requirements.

• Drive accountability deep into our organization to follow industry standards and best practices.

• Maintain a hands-on approach towards developers as necessary, balancing high-level architectural oversight with team collaboration.

What you need to Succeed:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field with experience in enterprise product development.

• Experience: 10+ years in UX and UI development, including 5+ years in architectural or leadership roles.

• Experience in working with cross functional challenges and interacting with all levels of teams (from development to product management and customers).

• Technical Expertise: Advanced knowledge of modern UI frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js), JavaScript/TypeScript, and responsive design principles.

• Cloud Expertise: Familiarity with multi-cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP, OCI) and

• their associated services.

• Strong grasp of accessibility standards and best practices.

• Knowledge of process frameworks and best practises like ITIL, IT4IT.
