Your Impact:

A Data Administration role at OpenText is responsible for the design and management of customer reports as well as performing ad-hoc queries and investigations to validate the accuracy of reports. You will coordinate physical changes to computer databases; and code, test, and implement physical databases and be responsible for maintaining data integrity, achieving high availability of the databases and for following processes that ensure system and data security.

What the role offers:

As a Principal Cloud Database Administrator, you will:

  • Support DB2 and Postgres database instances, troubleshoot performance issues, and ensure scheduled processes run efficiently.
  • Collaborate with Developers to design database schemas for new projects and write custom queries to retrieve data.
  • Provide user and developer support by running specific queries, creating reports, and addressing database-related inquiries.
  • Manage and maintain MongoDB and SQL Server database instances, including schema-less design and JSON-based data management.
  • Familiarity with DB2 HADR setup, KHS shell scripting, and the Atlas MongoDB interface is a plus.
  • Assist with the setup and maintenance of databases, offering expertise in both relational and NoSQL environments.
  • Possess 12-15 years of previous professional experience.

What you need to succeed:

  • Bachelor's degree in a computing-related field and successful completion of HIPAA and SysTrust training.
  • Working knowledge of SQL Server, MongoDB, DB2, and Postgres databases.
  • Strong analytical skills, initiative, and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and perform well under pressure.
  • Strong teamwork, follow-up skills, and trustworthiness.
  • Understanding of the software development process and ability to collaborate effectively with employees.
