Manager, Software Development Engineer in Test

As a key leader, you'll be instrumental in helping the organization deliver cutting-edge systems that help guide our customers through challenging cyber risks to ultimately find even greater opportunities. In Manager, Software Development Engineer in Test role, youwill lead the effort to build a culture that believes everybody owns quality and that our customers and partners come first. We're looking for someone with a passion for leveraging test automation to deliver high-quality solutions to market. As a leader, coach, and evangelist, you will influence and guide agile development teams toward quality engineering within a DevOps culture.

Help us "shift left" by leveraging our learning culture, cutting edge tools, frameworks, design patterns, and our team-oriented processes. As a manager within the QA team, you will also ensure that the Research and Development department is kept abreast of new test automation technology, tools, and trends within the industry and influence adoption where appropriate.

As a Manager, Software Development Engineer in Test , you will:

  • Work closely with engineering, infrastructure, and business stakeholders to confirm test strategies and coverage across multiple locations
  • Help define key objectives and metrics for the quality engineering teams
  • Work with Architecture team to create test automation infrastructure architecture
  • Lead effort to build and maintain test automation infrastructure
  • Drive implementation of test automation within the development teams to improve test coverage and time to market
  • Maintain career paths for Quality Engineering staff (both managerial and individual contributor tracks)
  • Support and facilitate the department in enabling and assuring that products are developed and produced in compliance with requirements from applicable standards
  • Attract, develop, and retain high performing talented Software Development Engineers in Test
  • Manage people resource processes related to objectives definitions, regular check-ins, assessment and compensation
  • Lead quality improvement initiatives that lead to continuous / cost improvements
  • Lead test plan/cases review for large-scale integration projects and post-mortem assessments of projects

What you need to Succeed:

  • 5+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance or Software Development in Test
  • 5+ years of experience as a Software Engineer
  • 2+ years as a Quality Assurance or Software Engineer team lead
  • Familiarity with testing methodologies and patterns such as pagemodel, BVA, equivalence partitioning, and path analysis
  • A clear understanding of Agile methodologies
  • Strong leadership, people management and mentoring skills
  • Good understanding of Software development life cycle
  • Goal driven; plans and manages toward achieving goals, anticipates problems and issues and proactively drives their resolution
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills across all levels
  • Able to handle large-scale and multiple products and teams concurrently
  • Must be confident, highly motivated and passionate about delivery and customer satisfaction
