YOUR IMPACT
The role Associate Systems Administrator is an individual contributor in Production Services team to maintain, finetune, optimize application deployment and usage based on efficient monitoring. You will focus on supporting applications and infrastructure for OpenText platforms. You will be responsible for ensuring that application solutions are consistent with the overall architecture.

WHAT THE ROLE OFFERS
• Collaborate with teams from Product Development, Professional Services, and Customer Support teams to Deploy Services / Applications.
• Be an expert on Datacenter migration of Applications/Services, and Disaster Recovery Planning & execution.
• Work on the implementation Review process for bugs, fixes, and issues encountered in active production instances.
• Actively support production incidents, problems, and root cause analysis.
• Provide feedback to Engineering and Professional Services teams to make services stable and resilient.
• Develop and enhance automated operations actions for Deployment, support, and maintenance activities.
• Deploy Containerized Services into PaaS Infrastructure
• Knowledge of integration points of hosted Applications and related implementation expert for CloudOps
• Work with 3rd party vendors and their support organizations for any impact to OT hosted solutions
• Ability to prioritize work to ensure timely project deliveries.
• Available to work on weekends to schedule maintenance activities and Deployments.
• On rotation monthly 24x7 oncall support

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related
• Experienced in Container-based Application Deployments and DevOps tools
• Experienced in CD and J2EE, with good skills in automation: Ansible/Chef/Puppet, etc.
• Advanced level skills in Python and/or Shell Scripting.
• Experience in supporting Java applications built using frameworks such as Spring, struts, spark, etc.
• Working experience on RedHat and Windows Operations Systems based Physical / VM Machines.

Desirable Skills:
• Review product design documents to ensure compliance with architecture standards
• Familiarity with Dockers and Kubernetes-based deployments
• Proficiency in writing scripts (bash, ksh, Perl, Powershell, Expect, AWK, Python is a plus)
• Expertise in analyzing Application container performance, reviewing JVM Settings & thread dumps.
• Developing and maintaining detailed documentation of work
• Familiarity with LoadBalancers/F5, Firewalls, SMTP, DNS Services, and Networking protocols.
