We also lead the development of digital tools and platforms to enhance collaboration.

This role executes on the technical design and development of Workday application requirement. This role applies extensive, in-depth knowledge, skills, and practices to perform complex assignments. As a Workday Software Developer, you will work with the technical ,functional/business and vendor teams across RBC for the implementation and execution of the HCM Program requirements.

What would you do?

Coordinate with HR teams, senior stakeholders, business management, QA, developers, and 3rd party vendor on a frequent basis for completion of the deliverables within the Workday HCM program.

Technical Analysis and Consulting

  • Assesses and analyses integration requirements, current state environment and technology platforms to define and propose solution that meets functional integration needs across the Workday eco-system, including a future HCM solution and multiple 3rd party internal/external systems.

  • As a Workday Software Developer, needs to focus on building integration solutions ensuring successful deployment using various integration product technologies/tools and services.

  • As a Workday Software Developer, needs to build strong, sustainable relationships with the business and functional team, by joining them in workshops to elicit their needs and understand their wants which meets the business requirements.

  • Identifies technical issues and risks and defines mitigation approaches working closely with delivery and operations teams.

  • Works with impacted/dependent groups to coordinate integration across systems.

  • Participate in detailed design sessions for identifying, tracking, and resolving issues related to integration design/build.

  • Ability to understand integration interdependency and mitigate issues arising due to those dependencies.

  • Stay up to date with emerging trends and new functionalities in areas related to the Workday integration and other domains.

Planning, Implementation & Support

  • As a Workday Software Developer, will help manage the integration deliverables associated with the HCM project & Workday Implementation.

  • Work closely with the QA team to help them understand the integration design, architecture and functionalities while managing the testing use cases.

  • You'll understand where blockers form and you'll track issues and risks, working with the PMO and other team members to mitigate them.

  • Participate and provide feedback on project implementation plans and support requirements.

  • Demonstrate ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks at a time.

  • Quick Decision-making process to know, when to push back, when to escalate and make sensible decisions taking a balanced view of requirement.

  • Ability to drive the CR process specific to integration.

  • Sound understanding of functional domain to analyze impact of functional CR on integrations.

  • Identify and solve issues leveraging platforms such as Workday Community

  • Delivering new design and development specifications based on customer requirements, while adhering to standard procedures and techniques.

  • Creating test transactions and running tests to find errors and revise application programs.

  • Participating in post-implementation reviews of application development content and processes; continually working to create a learning environment by sharing about the participation process with others.

  • Supporting the implementation of application programs; fixing any existing or new bugs.

Relationships & Communication

  • Works closely with Lead Architect to continuously ensure alignment with business and technology strategy with an integration focus.

  • Communicate effectively with team members, stakeholders using a variety of techniques and collaboration from initiation to close.

  • Facilitates small to large group meetings for technical design/architecture, decision making, problem-solving and task implementation.

  • Resolves technical conflicts/issues and escalates to others as appropriate.

Development & Coaching

  • Continually enhances skills and builds knowledge in all aspects of the organization, the business and information systems.

  • Demonstrate expertise in Workday Integration's.

What would you need?

  • Implementation or Support Experience of any HR Product (SAP, Workday, Success factor etc.). Workday Technical knowledge is preferred.

  • 2-5 years Experience in HR Technical Ecosystem.

  • Must have performed hands-on Integration Development in the past.
