What is the opportunity?

The HR Digital Solutions Security team is a critical component to access data and tools to support day to day activities for all employees. The HR Digital Solutions team provides guidance and expertise for system security best practices and ensures appropriate access is provided to authorized users supporting the protection of personal information. ​From strategy to execution, you'll have the career-defining opportunity to play an integral role in supporting the access management processes and driving technical solutions for one of Canada's largest employers.

We are seeking a resourceful and motivated professional to join our HR Digital Security Solutions team as a Global Security Lead. This individual will play an integral role in access management, enhancing the security model and security configuration within both the Workday HCM and SAP systems. The successful candidate must be able to foster positive relationships, be solution oriented and have a keen attention to detail with an emphasis on risk management.

What will you do?

  • Play a role in the design of Security in Workday, understanding the implications on the broader enterprise technology landscape
  • Apply expertise in service industry to the development and collaborate with HR COEs, HRBPs and business partners
  • Be the intermediary between HR and Cross Functional Teams
  • Be accountable for the daily oversight of the intake access request process, including issues and escalations
  • Identify and assess business requirements; participate in system changes, provide support and lead internal initiatives and projects
  • Provide guidance and expertise for system security best practices and risk management
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with subject matter experts in various areas of HR
  • Demonstrate accountability to achieve enablement of access by ensuring compliance of security framework and segregation of duties in conjunction of established policies and procedures
  • Develop reports for management on KPIs to improve the process effectiveness, efficiency, and data accuracy in support of metrics reporting
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent objectives or activities, and effectively make judgments in prioritizing and time allocation in an ever changing environment

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • Post-secondary diploma or degree in a business-related discipline (Human Resources preferred)
  • 3-5 years of related Human Resources experience within a corporate HR environment
  • 3+ years' experience with Workday Security or other module(s)
  • Strong understanding of security best practices and risk management

Nice-to-have

  • Knowledge of process improvement and other methodologies (e.g. LSS, Agile)
  • Experience with ServiceNow and JIRA
  • Functional Testing experience
  • Workday Pro certification - Security
