What is the opportunity?

Ownr is hiring a Visual Designer to join our Creative Team. This person will work closely with the Senior Designer as well as the Head of Design, to produce high quality marketing assets for social media, landing pages, and brand campaigns. This person will also have the opportunity to be present on video and photo shoots for ongoing marketing initiatives. As a member of a small team, this individual will have plenty of opportunities for learning and growth by taking on a number of different projects of varying sizes and complexities.

  • Conceptualize, create, and refine the Ownr visual identity, including logos, logo usages, color palettes, typography, illustrations and iconography, etc.

  • Conceptualize, create, and refine external marketing campaigns and assets, landing pages, digital and social assets, and more

  • Develop the Ownr brand guidelines, providing access to brand assets and resources for internal and external use

  • Work closely and collaboratively with the product and marketing team on brand-building and marketing campaigns

  • Collaborate with copywriters, art directors, creative directors, and production teams within Ownr and with third-party partners to execute marketing campaigns

  • Be an effective partner with marketing, ensuring that design and marketing work seamlessly together

  • Effectively rationalize and communicate ideas and designs to key stakeholders and senior business leaders

What will you need to succeed?

  • A degree in a design or related field (e.g., graphic design, visual communications, marketing, etc.) or the equivalent work experience

  • 4+ years of experience working in design or marketing teams, digital or advertising agencies

  • A portfolio that demonstrates your design skills and conceptual thinking

  • Strong aesthetic skills and a demonstration of graphic design core principles concerning typography, layout/composition, grid systems, color, photography, iconography, etc.

  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, and similar tools

  • Experience ideating and collaborating alongside a copywriter, visual designers, art directors, creative directors, marketers, and others

  • Ability to embrace feedback and continue to iterate and improve your work

  • Ability to communicate and present ideas and rationales

  • Ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced environment


Nice-to-Haves:

  • Experience in motion design

  • Experience working with performance and digital marketers

  • Experience working in start-up environments
