Within our Service Desk Procurement team, we are responsible for sourcing products and services across all categories. Every week there will be an opportunity to become a subject matter expert with a new product or service supporting a different area of the organization. What we'll accomplish together

As a Category Manager, you will have accountability for the strategic procurement of products and services across all categories of spend. You will also be responsible for building relationships within new areas of the organization, and the opportunity to develop the strategy and manage various categories of spend.

We are on a transformational journey within Procurement, and your challenge is to drive optimal value for the projects that you support, whilst ensuring our stakeholders are fully supported via our category specialists, Procurement service desk, or self-serving using a robust set of tools and guidance.

You will use your market knowledge and Procurement expertise to develop and deploy world-class approaches to spend management while utilizing e-procurement tools to deliver optimal value. You will also be responsible for negotiating, drafting, administering and managing commercial contracts associated with all categories of Procurement, including hardware, software and SaaS suppliers.

  • Leading major contract negotiations, strategic sourcing activities, cross functional projects, risk and relationship management, and savings initiatives

  • Supplier Relationship Management
  • Strong communication, storytelling/presentation skills, with proven ability to influence decision makers
  • Strong problem solving skills and attention to detail

  • Proven track record of execution and delivery in complex environments

  • Demonstrated ability to enable and drive change
  • Bachelor Degree required
  • Solid understanding of negotiation theory, strategies, and practice


Great-to-haves

  • Experience with eSourcing tools and SAP at an advanced level
  • CSCL, SCMP, MBA, PMP, or Lean Six Sigma designations are definite assets
  • Experience in the Telecommunications industry or Legal background
