Join a team that designs, develops and integrates highly complex software within Honeywell Building Automation. You will lead and manage a group of the world's most talented engineers who provide and develop expertise to facilitate the success of software engineering products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a team of Software Engineers, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment
  • Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of software projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and meeting delivery goals
  • Collaborate with other department heads to define project priorities and resource allocation
  • Provide leadership in adopting and implementing software engineering best practices
  • Act as a point of escalation for technical issues and coordinate resolution efforts
  • Mentor and develop team members, conducting performance reviews and fostering career growth

YOU MUST HAVE

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics
  • 7+ years of experience in full stack software development
  • 3+ years of demonstrated proficiency with front-end technologies including React, Typescript, HTML, CSS
  • 3+ years of experience with back-end technologies including Node.js and Mongo DB
  • Led software project team for at least 3 significant project releases

  • Solid understanding of software development best practices, Agile methodologies, design patterns, and architecture principles
  • Experience with cloud technologies such as GCP, AWS, or Azure.
  • Knowledge of other database systems such as MySQL or PostgreSQL.
  • Expertise in software development tools, version control systems, and continuous integration/deployment pipelines
  • Experience using GitHub, Jira, and other collaborative tools
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Passion for innovation and continuous learning
