What is the opportunity?

The Maintenance and Transformation team seeks a highly motivated and results-oriented Technical Application Specialist to play a pivotal role in ensuring the uptime, stability, and security of our mission-critical applications. This individual will leverage their technical expertise and problem-solving skills to maintain and enhance our core systems while collaborating effectively within a fast-paced environment. Develop and refine technical and problem-solving skills across a diverse range of technologies.

What will you do?

  • Conduct comprehensive code analysis to identify and troubleshoot application issues.

  • Provide support for code deployments, including attendance at code and release walkthrough meetings.

  • Participate actively in change management processes and support the execution of certificate upgrades.

  • Manage compliance remediation activities and perform routine production support tasks.

  • Design and develop automated solutions utilizing scripting languages to address recurring issues.

  • Monitor and maintain the smooth operation of batch processes and peripheral systems.

  • Proactively identify potential problems, mitigate risks, and escalate critical issues when necessary.

  • Foster strong working relationships within the team and participate in disaster recovery exercises.

What do you need to succeed?

Must have:

  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.

  • Experience in coding languages (C# or Python preferred) for scripting and automation.

  • Proven proficiency in UCD, Jenkins, Ansible, MongoDB, and SQL Server.

  • Solid understanding of Windows Server administration, IIS, certificate management, and the ELK Stack.

  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.

  • Proven ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and deliver high-quality work consistently.

Nice-to-have:

  • Experience with C# or Python programming languages beyond basic scripting.

  • Prior experience with disaster recovery planning and execution.
