Senior Technical Systems Analyst

What is the opportunity?
The selected candidate will have the opportunity to join the CCT Mainframe development and support team, a dynamic team dedicated to building and supporting integrations across various in-house RBC systems, as well as building in applications to enable our agents in the Advice Centers. The role itself will have the candidate the opportunity to participate in day-to-day production support, maintenance, project, compliance activities including problem solving, planning sessions, testing and coding.

What will you do?

• You will be part of a team creating new services and applications using the latest technologies which will shape the future of banking for RBC; You will develop and support highly scalable, high-performance APIs within an Agile development team.

• Design and develop code structures based on technical design defined by the team.

• Ensure high code quality through automated unit and functional testing.

• Work within an Agile product team comprised of technical, product and business team members to deliver exceptional products.

• You will actively seek out knowledge about new technologies and how they can be used to solve current and foreseeable challenges.

• Drive process standardization and implementation of best practices across existing models

• Build operational guide documents to strengthen internal documentation.

• Ensure supported applications are following Enterprise compliance with software and hardware updates along with security standards.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

• Strong coding skills in COBOL, JCL, TSO/ISPF, IMS, DB2

• Experience with Mainframe DevOps, IBM DataStage, Zeke, Stonebranch UAC, Stonebranch Universal Command

• Leadership acumen and a passion to apply it in a dynamic business environment.

• Excellent interpersonal and highly developed communication skills (verbal and written)

• Creative and analytical thinker who is self-driven and capable of working in a fast-paced environment.

Nice-to-have

• Experience with cloud - OCP

• Any Unix is a bonus.

• Drive to problem solve and proven analytical skills.

• Knowledge of design, development, and implementation utilizing current analytics technologies
