What can I expect to do in this role?
In this role, you will: • work with project teams to develop business systems and applications to meet business needs and priorities • analyze business needs in relation to Human Resources clients' programs and service delivery requirements • provide clients with business systems consulting expertise on the use of information technology, such as PeopleSoft, to meet business goals and objectives • recommend systems development solutions which meet clients' needs • provide technical expertise and advice in complex systems analysis and design • provide leadership in the coordination and development of production support procedures
How do I qualify?
Technical Skills
• you have knowledge of the business systems technology with emphasis on PeopleSoft • you have knowledge of the theory and principles of system design to lead the analysis and definition of clients' information technology requirements • you are able to design, develop, test and implement business solutions • you are able to evaluate hardware and software • you have knowledge of new PeopleSoft development, analysis and design techniques used throughout the system development lifecycle
Analytical Skills
• you have analytical skills to evaluate information technology options in the PeopleSoft enterprise resource planning (ERP) application for clients in the development of new functionality or system modifications • you have evaluative skills to provide clients with various recommendations and outline advantages and disadvantages of each • you have the ability to understand clients' businesses processes and recommend necessary systems development solutions that promote IT strategies
Communication and Interpersonal Skills
• you have verbal communication skills to discuss system requirements with clients • you are able to discuss technical requirements in clear non-technical terms • you have written skills to prepare various reports, presentations, systems documentation and manuals • you have interpersonal skills to work with various stakeholders and achieve business goals
I&IT Knowledge
• you understand IT Cluster's information technical footprint, including standard end-user computing tools, office products, and development platform • you have knowledge of programming concepts and languages, in order to analyze business requirements and client's systems development needs • you are up to date on trends and advances in information technology across the various computing platforms, including new development, analysis and design techniques. • you have an understanding of the System Development Lifecycle, rigorous change management techniques
Project Management Skills
• you have knowledge of IT plan, project planning methodology and theory to support the IT business planning process
