A great opportunity in the Information Technology Services department !
Reporting to the Director, Strategy and Architecture, you will perform the leadership, facilitation, analysis and design tasks required to develop the enterprise solution architecture (ESA) and to ensure that it is leveraged. You will coordinate closely with enterprise application, data, information and technology architects, while leveraging subject matter experts from any needed technical or business area.
You may also work closely with separate teams of project or solution architects that work on individual projects and will collaborate with business constituents, other EA team members, project teams and IT staff as needed to fulfil the responsibilities described above.
You will develop the enterprise solution architecture (ESA) and ensure that it is leveraged by defining key solution portfolios and ensures they are managed by either leading that activity directly or by establishing and then supporting asset-centric portfolio management disciplines (for such solution portfolios as application, service-oriented architecture [SOA] service or shared infrastructure); developing road maps describing the evolution of all enterprise solution portfolios from current state to future state; ensuring that project management or solution delivery life cycle efforts and project architects specifically leverage all aspects of enterprise architecture (EA) — separately by EA viewpoint (i.e. business, information and technology) and via guidance at the ESA level across those viewpoints; analyzing enterprise business context (trends and business strategy), as well as change requirements in other EA viewpoints, to derive the ESA change requirements to guide solution decisions for the enterprise and defining the principles and the models, including solution patterns, to guide solution decisions for the enterprise.
You will coordinate analysis and implementation activities with project teams, EA team members, business constituents and IT staff by consulting with application or infrastructure development projects to harmonize systems or infrastructure with the ESA, and identify when it is necessary to modify the solution architecture to accommodate project needs; working closely with the project management office (PMO) to ensure alignment of plans (including migration plans and road maps) with what is being delivered (projects) and coordinating activities with enterprise business, information and technology architects.
In addition to the above, you are responsible for treating passengers and/or employees with respect and dignity and ensuring the needs of passengers or employees with disabilities are accommodated and/or addressed (within their area of responsibility) in accordance with the Ontario Human Rights Code and Related Orders so that they can fully benefit from the TTC as a service provider and an employer.
