What is the opportunity?

As a Senior QE Engineer, you will be responsible for the activities of the quality of the software and functionality of a product/application. Your involvement will be in all phases of the testing from designing, coding, testing, troubleshooting errors and documenting procedures. This role will focus on analyzing, coding test scripts using programming tools, maintaining, and executing tests to ensure quality and coverage for functionality, integration, regression, end to end and performance. You will be responsible for developing, coding, and executing test strategies, scenarios, test data, and test cases/scripts for ecosystem/program/large projects/scrs. Adhere to QE best practices and standards to ensure that quality expectations are met.

What will you do?

  • Driving quality and champion defect prevention/early defect detection by adopting quality engineering practices and AI models
  • Maximizing test coverage and using business analysis techniques to optimize testing activities.
  • Responsible for test case/script creation and execution, maximizing test automation, scripting/coding, test automation framework pipeline (Medium/High complexity)
  • Responsible for agreed upon processes such as coding best practices for automated test procedures, documenting automated test procedures, setting up tools to automatically uploading test results into Enterprise standard tools, defect tracking and defect verification and supporting project metrics.
  • Partners across IT and with assigned business lines to test new or existing software to ensure functional requirements are met.
  • Develop service virtualization tools, automated test data management tools to enable early testing.
  • Coaching, Training, and mentoring junior resources

What do you need to succeed?

Must Have

  • Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related (technical) degree/diploma
  • 4-6 years of hands on experience in developing automated test scripts, creation of manual test scenarios/cases, test coverage/design at different levels (component/service, integration, and end to end/user scenarios) to provide optimal coverage
  • Experience in Mainframe, COBOL programming, JCL, DB2, Tandem based HP Non-Stop POS/ATM based applications, and Cloud Technologies
  • Hands-on expertise in a variety of test automation frameworks/tools (e.g., JUnit, PyUnit, IBM Test Accelerator for Z (TAZ) etc.) and development using scripting languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript)
  • Hands-on programming experience; (e.g., Java, C#, SQL, PL/SQL, COBOL) and source code/configuration tools (AmazonQ, Co-Pilot, GIT, Hybrid Cloud)
  • Experience working with software delivery methodologies, frameworks, reviewing artefacts, and best practices (Agile) and DevOps CI/CD pipelines, JIRA/Confluence/qTest tools.
  • Highly effective communication skills; ability to focus and prioritize and solve complex technical problems

Nice to Have

  • Agile and Software testing certification
  • Experience with cloud solutions such as Azure, Zephyr
  • Knowledge in Banking or Payments Industry
