What is the Opportunity?

The Third Party IT Risk team is currently recruiting for the exciting role of Senior Manager Risk Intelligence and Analytics. You will be called upon to leverage data to formulate and deliver actionable insights which support information-based business decisions and drive change. In addition, you will enable your business through the provisioning of data assets, analytical reports and dashboards. In this role, you will have the opportunity to build a solid understanding of RBC’s Third Party IT Risk Management requirements.

What will you do?

  • Perform comprehensive data analysis and communicate meaningful insights in the form of data sets, reports and dashboards.

  • Maintain or enhance existing reports to showcase insights and support tactics.

  • Investigation, escalation, and resolution of data discrepancies identified in reports

  • Develop data dictionaries and data lineage to maintain high standards of data governance

  • Provide data driven insights by understanding the business context and how it can be applied to satisfy provided analytics and reporting requirements.

  • Consult with business partners to understand business goals and the intended client journey.

  • Seek opportunities to automate and streamline analytics and reporting steps.

  • Participate in strategy meetings to gather and document business requirements and learn how to formulate analytical framework.

  • Develop reports to detect and trace data anomalies and perform impact analysis.

  • Increase operational efficiencies across teams by monitoring and managing SLAs, KRIs and KPIs effectively.

  • Participate and contribute to projects with other partner groups to meet business requirements.

  • Transform the way we use data by developing advanced reporting and analytics to serve our business clients.

  • Ensure compliance and privacy guidelines are strictly adhered to.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have:

  • An undergraduate or graduate degree in Business, Economics, Mathematics, Finance, Data Science, Engineering or another quantitative discipline

  • Advanced BI Tool skillsets such as PowerBI, Elastic Search, Tableau Excel, PowerPoint skills.

  • Excellent research and analytical capabilities, data visualization skills to produce complex data analysis.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills to deliver results to a range of audiences and stakeholders

Nice to have:

  • Knowledge of risk management, compliance matters, and corporate governance.

  • Familiarity with the risk and control frameworks, particularly around cybersecurity, information security and technology

  • Knowledge and awareness of the financial industry, risk management practices and regulatory and/or policy changes
