The Senior Manager- PPD reports to a Director while operating in a team-based environment. The role supports GRM's strategic vision by 1) championing a risk culture with a bolder change mindset that sets the standard for governance in Business Banking Credit, providing effective challenge and identifying and executing on opportunities for improvement; and 2) fostering an enterprise mindset that breaks down silos across GRM and the Bank, while ensuring global regulatory and Bank requirements are met.

Is this role right for you? In this role you, will:

  • Manage the design and implementation of new, or existing Business Banking Credit Risk policy, with a focus on policy governance for Business Banking Credit Risk
  • Understand applicable regulatory requirements of relevant jurisdictions relative to Bank policies
  • Understand how the Bank's risk appetite, risk culture and strategic priorities should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions
  • Monitor for regulatory changes and assess impacts
  • Ensure policies and procedure reviews are conducted per governance schedule
  • Identify potential gaps and non-compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Provide recommendations on design of internal policies, procedures and controls that satisfy the tightest regulatory requirement the Bank is subject to
  • Build and manage relationships with stakeholders and ensure close collaboration
  • Lead regulatory self-assessment processes
  • Raise issues and liaise with non-compliant teams on action plans to resolve issues
  • Track issues and manage action plans for timely resolution
  • Develop reporting, insights and recommendations to senior management
  • Champions a high performance culture and contributes to an inclusive work environment

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? - We'd love to work with you if you have:

  • Post-Secondary Education completed, preferably in Finance, Business Administration, or related experience
  • Knowledge of the Bank's policies, procedures, audit disciplines, and of the business conducted by the Bank and its units globally
  • Knowledge of the regulatory environment applicable to financial institutions
  • Experience with regulatory compliance, governance, audit or similar area
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent teamwork, interpersonal and conflict resolutions skills
  • Thorough knowledge of PowerPoint, Excel, Word, SharePoint, and Power BI
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to meet timelines
  • Ability to work in an agile and fast paced environment with shifting priorities and tight timeframes
  • Spanish or French would be an asset
