We're looking for an exceptional Senior Financial Analyst, FP&A to help us support the next exciting phase in Hootsuite's growth. As a Senior Financial Analyst, you will gain a deep understanding of one or more of our business units and become a key player in setting, monitoring and exceeding our financial plans and forecasts. In this position, you will directly support some of FP&A's key stakeholders by providing insightful financial analyses, commentary and business recommendations to help drive data-driven decision making and business performance. You are equally adept at analyzing numbers and building strong relationships with cross-functional stakeholders.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Develop and maintain financial models for the business unit(s). Perform strategic and financial analysis (including scenario modeling, risk/opportunity assessment,...) to support, using a data-driven approach, all major decisions for the business unit(s)
  • Develop and maintain the monthly / quarterly / annual in-depth analysis, providing visibility to management of variances from expectations with a focus on understanding key drivers and continuously improving accuracy
  • Build trusted relationships with key cross-functional business partners and stakeholders to successfully analyze, forecast and report on business unit(s) performance
  • Support the delivery of key company-wide financial and strategic planning processes (e.g., quarterly forecasting, annual budgeting, long-range planning). Support the preparation of Board materials and other key deliverables
  • Proactively identify and drive improvements to current processes, reports and models by leveraging financial data, non-financial data, external benchmarks, automation and/or prior industry experiences
  • Partner with Data team, ensuring consistency and reliability of key data. Collaborate in the design and validation of new metrics / models / dashboards to drive key insights on the business
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

  • Significant relevant experience in an FP&A or similar role (ideally in software or SaaS high-growth environments). Advanced financial modelling skills (Microsoft Excel and Google Workspace applications) with the ability to swiftly and effectively translate ambiguity into succinct outputs.
  • Professional accounting designation CPA, CFA, or an MBA; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to work independently and proactively to deliver accurate, high-quality outputs with minimal oversight
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills and eagerness to work in collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and writing skills with the proven ability to communicate complex ideas in a simple & easy-to-understand way
  • Process/Project Management: skilled at figuring out and managing the processes and timelines necessary to get work accomplished
  • Problem Solving: uses an organized and logical approach to find solutions to complex problems. Looks beyond the obvious to understand the root cause of problems. If something seems off, take immediate action to figure out what's going on
  • Bias towards taking action and pursuing continuous improvement; confidence to embrace new ways of doing things, including automating functions

WHO YOU ARE:

  • Tenacious. You are determined to succeed, and you are motivated by the success of customers, colleagues and the community.
  • Curious. You are always learning and seeking ways to make things better.
  • Conscientious. You keep your promises, taking your commitments to others seriously, and you have strong integrity.
  • Humble. You lead with humility and empathy, respecting and learning from the perspectives of others.

Accommodations will be provided as requested by candidates taking part in all aspects of the selection process.
