What is the opportunity ?

This is an exciting opening for a Senior Axiom Developer to work with a talented team of individuals as part of Corporate Treasury. You'll be responsible for designing, developing and enhancing Axiom tool for Capital measurement reports working with a dynamic team.

What will you do?

  • Provide solution for the development of the Axiom objects and process optimization.
  • Reviewing SQL Queries to handle performance tuning exercises.
  • Collaborate with upstream and downstream teams for Development, support and bug fixes.
  • Ensuring code/configuration written meets the predefined company and team standards.
  • Participate in post-implementation reviews of application, development, and processes, continually working to create a learning environment by sharing with others.
  • Preparing and execute of detailed unit test cases to test the Axiom code in Controller View
  • Coordinating implementation including packaging of code and obtaining the required approvals
  • Participating in process and practice improvement at RBC Axiom SME level in areas of software development, testing and release management.
  • Promoting and improve current standards of managing software and tests through version control.
  • Participating in the on-going continuous improvement efforts of the development
  • Hands on experience in the adoption of DevOps and using best practices in culture, testing, monitoring, alerting and maintainability.
  • Hands on experience in analyzing and troubleshooting the issues with CI/CD pipelines.
  • Work in an Agile team environment which is fast paced, fun and collaborative.
  • Ensuring the operating efficiency of existing application systems
  • Conducting analyses of organizational needs and goals for the development and implementation of application systems

What do you need to succeed?

Must Have

  • 5+ years of development experience of AXIOM (Data sources, Data models, Modify models, Aggregations, Portfolios, Free-form Reports and Tabular Reports).
  • 3+ years of Oracle SQL Development (Mandatory)
  • Designing, coding, analyzing, and modifying Axiom SL Platform code, including encoding, testing, debugging and installing for a large-scale system
  • Contribute to technical design, development, and implementation of application.
  • Integrate Axiom vendor releases applications with 3rd party tools.

Nice to Have

  • Development and review of PL/SQL code & SQL Queries to support data sourcing into Axiom & understanding end to end data flow from DB to Axiom.
