Rogers is seeking a Release Train Engineer (RTE), to join the Technology team! Reporting to the Sr. RTE, Prepaid Technology, the RTE will be ensuring that the people, process and tools required to continuously and sustainably mature our business agility within a scaled agile framework, are held accountable and efficiently and effectively deliver continuous actual value in the shortest sustainable lead time.

The role will lead complex agile release trains (ARTs), responsible for the evolution of our customer experiences and the performance of the systems that enable them. This includes facilitating ART Ceremonies, coaching, practice-based events and challenges, knowledge sessions, fostering momentum, and using continuous improvement methodologies.

Ensuring the end to end delivery of the ARTs defined value, the RTE will support the reporting on the value delivered and delivery efficiency of the train - providing insights into anomalies, or clear action plans to improve.

What you will be doing:

  • Support the Sr. RTE to deliver with excellence adhering to KPI standards
  • Optimize and instill the flow of value through the Agile Release Train (ART)
  • Establish and communicate the annual calendars for Iterations and Program Increments (PIs)
  • Facilitate PI Planning events and readiness which drives the synthesis of the Prepaid Roadmap, and Backlogs, and through Pre- and Post-PI Planning meetings
  • Summarize team PI objectives into program PI objectives and publish them for visibility and transparency
  • Assist tracking the execution of features and capabilities following the standardized KPIs through periodic synchronization meetings, including the ART sync
  • Help manage risks and dependencies while escalating and tracking impediments where required
  • Encourage collaboration between teams and stakeholders (digital, IT, NW, Product, etc.) to align strategy and execution with operational excellence; driving relentless improvement via inspect and adapt workshops assessing the agility of the ART(s)
  • Facilitate system demos and solution demos

What you bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Engineering or 5-10 years progressive related experience (including experience as a scrum master)
  • Understanding of Scaled-Agile practices, Continuous Delivery Process, DevSecOps; SAFe™ RTE certification is an asset
  • Understanding of hybrid delivery models
  • Ability to quickly adjust with Change Management knowledge
  • Open minded with a continuous growth attitude is a must; confident to challenge the status quo and follow-through with appropriate tact
  • Strong business and technical acumen and professionalism, excellent presentation skills with solid communication skills both verbal and written

This is a hybrid work position and will require you to be in office three days per week. You can choose which days in office work best for you!
